Graduation Fireworks

May and June is the time for graduation celebrations, and what better way to mark the occasion than with some fabulous graduation fireworks!

Thousands of students will be graduating at this time of year, from schools, colleges and universities across the country. Many will be leaving good friends to move on to pastures new, whilst others might have reached the end of their studies altogether. Fireworks are often used at times of celebration, and therefore graduations are no different. Graduation fireworks and organised displays are becoming increasingly popular in the UK after many years of seeing these kinds of celebrations in the USA.

You can see some great graduation firework displays here:

Graduation fireworks do not have to be large scale events based on academic premises however. It is very possible to arrange smaller private garden displays with just the closest friends and family to enjoy. Sometimes a more intimate affair can even make the celebration that bit more special.

Here at Fireworks Den we sell fireworks all year round and for all occasions. There are fireworks to suit all budgets, and plenty to fit into smaller inner- city gardens safely.

Check out some of these – we think the names are pretty appropriate for celebrating academic achievements!

Of course you do not have to choose fireworks based purely on the name, you can also browse all of the fireworks on the website and then choose effects of the fireworks, perhaps by colour, spread, or speed of the shots.

If you have recently graduated or are due to graduate this Summer, then CONGRATULATIONS from Fireworks Den, and we hope you choose to celebrate with us! Contact us here for any further information.

Firework Competitions

Firework competitions take place as the Summer months begin. Usually these are hosted by firework enthusiasts who invite some of the leading manufacturers to display their new best fireworks available to buy for the coming Guy Fawkes and New Year’s Eve.

Here you can find some of the best shows to go to across the UK this year!

At these firework competitions, you can see the latest products, see fireworks accompanied by music, chat to the experts, and even rate the fireworks to help decide on the firework competitions winner!

If you cant get to any of these firework competitions, how about hosting your own! Remember to consider your space, and to be safe at all times – there is plenty of information about all of this in previous blog entries!

If you are hosting your own firework competitions, think of some categories for people to compete in – get your guests to bring an item for each category, and let the spectators choose the winner. Some category ideas we can think of here at Fireworks Den include

Of course, here at Fireworks Den we have the winning fireworks, so click the links above for what we think are the winners!

In the meantime, remember we are open for business all year round, so please visit us or contact us for any advice.

May the fourth be with you

For some people, ‘May the fourth be with you’ is just a strange play on words for a date at the start of the month of May. For others, ‘May the fourth be with you‘ means so much more. It is actually considered to be a holiday by Star Wars fans across the globe, created on this date to coincide with the popular phrase ‘May the force be with you’ which appears in the time honoured films.

There are many websites created by fans with more information about the classic Star Wars films. Check out these ones – some have interactive games on them too!

There are even special public events being held at various locations on 4th May – here is one in London which our local firework customers might enjoy.

Check out what some superfans will be getting up to this weekend in the USA!

Here at Fireworks Den, we think ‘May the fourth be with you’ is the perfect opportunity to launch some amazing fireworks into the night sky in celebration of the Star Wars culture. Here are some of our space related picks!

1) Shooting Stars: The traditional roman candles

2) Space Probe: A fabulously colourful single ignition which will certainly light up the night sky!

3) Starburst: A noisy one! Get heard right up in space!

4) Thundering Space Spiders: Great value for money here with so many effects.

5) War Lord: Shooting comets into the sky – what an appropriate firework to celebrate May the Fourth

6) Titan Rocket: Since rockets look a little like a light sabre, it only seems right to suggest one of our favourite large rockets here!

Whichever fireworks you choose to buy from Fireworks Den for this weekend, be safe, have fun, and MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU !!!
